When a recipient canNOT open a card, this may work...

How many times recently have you sent a card to someone and the card refuses to open on their end? Frustrating, yes, but this has worked for me: go to 'my account' and select 'sent' cards...find the culprit, copy the link address, and then send an email directly to the recipient having the trouble and paste the hyperlink for them. It has worked everytime I've had such problems arise.
